Our mission is to live the Gospel message by serving Christ through the poor with love, respect, justice, and joy.
For more than 170 years, thanks to the generosity of parishioners, the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul has been distributing food hampers and providing support in many ways to those in need.
We, the volunteers, are grateful for your support. Throughout the year, many initiatives, such as food and gift card drives within our schools, grocery purchases for our Hamper Room, cash donations, the annual Angel Tree program, and the purchase of Knights of Columbus gift cards, all contribute to our ability to serve those in need.
We service Families in need within Ascension Roman Catholic Parish boundaries.

We would like to thank the Ascension Parish Community, ministries and schools for the generous support through both the Lenten Share and Holy Week Mission Campaigns. These were our most successful Lenten campaigns to date.
The financial and food donations received will help sustain our work in the community for the next couple of months.
Your kindness and generosity are greatly appreciated by the families we serve.

2024 Lenten Share
The Ascension Society of St. Vincent de Paul assisted a record number of families in our Parish Community during 2023. 423 food hampers were delivered and 1552 people assisted. This would not have been possible without the support from our parishioners within the 29 communities and 10 schools serviced by our Parish.
Today we are asking for your continued support to assist the needy. The Lenten Share Campaign runs to the end of Palm Sunday.
We encourage you to purchase $25 Superstore Gift Cards available from the Knights of Columbus and donate them to Saint Vincent De Paul.
Tax receipts will be issued at the end of the year for gift card donations and accumulated cash donations.
Food items can be placed in the food donation bin near the Knights’ table.
Place cash or gift cards in the donation box by the bin.
No donation is too small and is appreciated by the families we serve.
